Spelt Yve, Said Evie

I'm Yve (spelt Yve, said Evie), a graphic designer and illustrator from Brighton (UK) with a love for art direction. My illustration practice began at Manchester School of Art, where I fell in love with sketchbooks and drawing on location.

After graduating, I moved into graphic design and have spent the past 5 years working in-house. I love it; idea generation, layout, brand guidelines, campaigns. Graphic design feeds my creativity in a different way to illustration.

Back in January 2026, I left my graphic design job and took a one way flight to Colombia. I had a travel itch. I dance a lot of salsa and speak Spanish, so Latin America seemed like an obvious choice.

While I did both, the biggest surprise was falling back in love with drawing. Inspired by new surroundings and connections I drew my way round Colombia and Mexico, filling nearly 3 sketchbooks in 3 months. One very hot day in Oaxaca I decided to compile a video of all my sketches from Colombia. I posted it on instagram and it blew up, I gained over 12k new followers in 2 months. I still find this crazy!

Like many creatives I wear lots of hats- designer, illustrator, art director, animator, content creator. And the collection is ever growing.
